These may include but are not limited to policy briefs and/or updates; statistical data on current epidemics; and diagnosis, treatment, and symptom management of various disease processes.
PROVIDER CAPACITY WORKGROUP – The Provider Capacity Workgroup includes clinicians from Barton Health, Marshall Medical Center, El Dorado Community Health Center, El Dorado Healthy and Human Services Agency and Shingle Springs Wellness Center. The workgroup meets monthly and provides clinical expertise and perspective to identify gaps in healthcare and support development of a system of care for vulnerable populations.

Our Mission Statement
"We are a diverse youth-led group whose main focus is raising awareness about wellness and making a positive impact in our community. We strive to communicate with all people in El Dorado County in order to promote healthy lifestyles, reduce harm around substance use, and inspire the community to take action and reduce stigma."
What We Do
The Youth Action Council (YAC) is a diverse, youth-led group focused on raising awareness about wellness and making a positive impact in the community. Open to youth ages 13-18, YAC welcomes participants from all areas of El Dorado County, as it is not affiliated with any single school or club. Youth members work alongside adult mentors to promote healthy lifestyles, reduce harm related to substance use, and inspire the community to take action and reduce stigma. YAC adult leadership is provided by staff at ACCEL/COPE, El Dorado County Substance Use Disorder Services, and New Morning Youth and Family Services.

Regular Activities
online zoom meetings
Weekly
Every Monday at 5pm on Zoom.
At these meetings we discuss and work on a variety of subjects ranging from making social media posts for our Instagram and website, to planning and preparing for upcoming events!
In person meetings
Monthly
Every 3rd Tuesday at the Ashby House in Placerville. At our in person meetings we have food and games to get to know each other as well as planning or recapping events that we hold. These meetings are also a time for the youth to have a place to discuss issues they are seeing or facing themselves.
