Social Media Kindness Challenge
For this event the youth planned and set up a table at Union Mine high school 3 days one week with help from the adults. The purpose of this was to have students write kind notes to each other on the board and tag each other on Instagram.

The reasoning behind this event was based on a study from NAMI & SAMHSA that says "1 in 5 teens experience a mental health condition and nearly 30% of adolescents report using alcohol or drugs as a way to cope with their feelings. Practicing kindness can have a profound impact on mental health, as research shows that acts of kindness can boost mood and reduce feelings of anxiety and depression."

Overall the event was a success with many students stopping by the table and the Instagram got over __ new followers.
Fentanyl High Screening
The Fentanyl High movie is a documentary that was made by a Bay Area high schooler and shown by the YAC at the Placerville Cinema. It tells the story of how fentanyl overdose/poisoning effects high schoolers and their community.

In addition to the screening of the documentary there was also a speakers panel and resource fair afterwards. The speakers panel was led by several individuals with lived experience, including a mother of a similar situation as well as people working in and working through recovery.

The resource fair was held in the lobby of the theatre and held ___ booths from various organizations in the community that can help people looking for recovery or looking to learn more about family resources they have access to in the community.

Overall the event had over 150 participants and garnered enough interest for there to be another screening in 2025.
